Chadwick Boseman Remembered at Star-Studded Private Memorial

Chadwick Boseman, who died of colon cancer August 28 at 43, was remembered at a private memorial in Malibu Saturday, one attended by his family, some of his closest friends, and his co-stars.

Ever since Boseman's death, there have been numerous public displays of respect for the fallen movie star and icon, including a Thursday outdoor screening of "Black Panther" in his hometown of Anderson, South Carolina, that included a speech by Deanna Brown-Thomas, daughter of the late James Brown, about how Boseman exuded Black excellence.
