Dax Shepard Injured in Motorcycle Accident, Will Undergo Surgery
Actor Dax Shepard is in bad shape after a motorcycle crash at Sonoma Raceway.
The star will now have to undergo surgery after suffering multiple broken bones on the California track.
Shepard opened up about the accident on his “Armchair Expert” podcast, revealing how it happened. "I was passing six guys at Sonoma Raceway on a motorcycle and I was braking very, very hard, hard enough that the back wheel was off the ground for a good 100 yards," he explained. "I was totally at blame. I thought I would be able to slide in-between, but someone turned in and I was already under full brake and I couldn't go anywhere."
After clipping the other rider's bumper, he “went over the handlebars” and landed hard.
He was in hot water with track employees, saying, "They really let me have it and I was too injured to object, so I just took it on the chin.”
Dax waited until the next day to get checked out, leading to a seven-hour hospital visit. He told fans, "The final tally was four broken ribs, the clavicle's broken in three places, and I need surgery. And then I broke my hand that I'd broke a couple months ago."

The “Parenthood” alum posted a photo of his injuries on Instagram and wrote, "Thank you Armcherries for all the well wishes and concern. I'm in one piece and spirits are high :) Sorry for causing concern."
Back in May, Kristen opened up to Ellen DeGeneres about Dax's off-roading accident in an ATV.
