Amanda Kloots Prepares to Move Into Home She Bought with Late Husband Nick Cordero
Following the death of her husband, Broadway star Nick Cordero, at 41 earlier this month, Amanda Kloots is now preparing for another jarring transition — but it's one she hopes will become her "new normal."
"Heading back to Los Angeles today with a brave face. These next couple weeks I will start the transition of moving into the home Nick and I bought together," Kloots revealed to supporters on Instagram.

"I'm not expecting this to be easy, in fact I think it will be very hard," she continued, "but I'm going into it knowing I need to be strong. I have to find my new normal, at least whatever that is for Elvis and I right now. I know Nick will be with us. He wanted to live in this house more than anything so I'll put lots of family photos up and make sure his presence is with us."
The move is one she had begun with Nick back in March, before the Tony-nominated actor became increasingly sick with what was belatedly diagnosed as COVID-19. He was in an ICU by April, suffering many setbacks before succumbing to the illness on July 5 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A.
It has been an unimaginably tough time for Amanda and their infant son Elvis, but they are not alone: Well-wishers raised over $1 million to cover Nick's massive medical expenses, and his close friend Zach Braff revealed he had promised Cordero he would always take care of Amanda and Elvis.
