Diplo Confirms He’s a Dad Again, but Hasn’t Met Son Due to Quarantine

After much speculation, Diplo confirmed he is a dad again!

The DJ and producer shared the news on Instagram with a Mother's Day post, revealing he welcomed a baby boy with Jevon King in March. He later followed up explaining he's just announcing the news now, because he hasn't met his newborn yet.

Jevon, a beauty queen and model, had previously announced their son Pace's arrival. She never named the father, but soon after, reports started circulating that Diplo was the baby's dad.

On Sunday, Diplo shared three photos paying tribute to three important moms in his life, writing, "Thanks for giving me life and helping me create it -- the three strongest mothers in the world. I'm still a work in progress but u have given three perfect beautiful boys. I love you all til the moon and back."

The first photo, featured a pic of Diplo, real name Thomas Wesley Pentz, as a toddler alongside his mom Barbara Jean Cox. The second photo, honored his ex-girlfriend Kathryn Lockhart, who is the mother of his sons Lockett, 10, and Lazer, 6.

Diplo followed up with a video of Pace, and further explanation to fans. “So I had an entire ass baby during quarantine,” the star said. “I was hesitant to post him because not only does he already had a better haircut than me.. But also because I havent met him yet since we are separated by a million miles and closed borders. His name is Pace, he and his mommy are super healthy and happy and I'm going to meet them as soon as we turn a corner on this world shutdown.”

King has not posted about Diplo, but did celebrate Mother's Day with a pic of her and Pace, writing, “In the midst of all this chaos you've been my peace,” using the hashtags “#myfirstmothersday #happymothersday #myson #myheartbeat #mylifeline.”
