New Details on Why Scott Disick Really Checked Into Rehab
UPDATE:Less than 24 hours after the news broke, Scott Disick has checked out of rehab.
According to his lawyer, Disick plans to sue over an alleged leaked photo of him in a Zoom meeting that has surfaced online. His lawyer told E! News, "Shockingly as a result of the HIPAA violation of the facility and his violation of privacy, he has checked himself out and is immediately returning home. We are alarmed by this extreme invasion of privacy and plan to take immediate legal action."
In response to the alleged leak, the facility's president Noah Nordheimer said, "The protection of our clients' personal and confidential information is of the utmost importance to us. It is APN's strict policy to not publicly disclose patient-specific information, including whether or not a particular client is or was being treated at our facility, or has inquired about our services. If it were determined that any information relating to any client was ever obtained from APN facilities and provided to a media outlet, APN will take all legal action available against that individual, including cooperating with law enforcement and other governmental authorities."
"The APN Lodge team is overwhelmingly a group who dedicates their lives to bettering others and we are sickened by any publication who would report on an individual's life struggles without their consent," Nordheimer added.
As for the reason behind Disick's decision to check in, his lawyer said, "In an effort to finally come to terms and deal with the pain that Scott has been silently suffering for many years due to the sudden death of his mother, followed by the death of his father 3 months later, Scott made the decision to check himself into a rehab facility last week to work on his past traumas. He did not check in for any alcohol or cocaine abuse."
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, reality star Scott Disick has reportedly checked into a rehab facility.
DailyMailTV reports Disick was admitted to the exclusive All Points North Lodge in Colorado last week.
Immediately after arriving at the luxury addiction treatment center, Disick was placed under quarantine and confined to his private suite.
Once he tested negative for the coronavirus, Disick was able to join other patients.
A source claimed that Disick has been abusing alcohol and cocaine while struggling with life under quarantine. He is reportedly still having a difficult time coping with the loss of his parents, who died a few years ago.
They shared, “Scott flew in on Tuesday and had to Zoom in to a group meeting from his room to introduce himself. He said he's having trauma from his past, he mentioned trouble with his ex and said he's also having trouble with his children and he's been taking cocaine and drinking a lot.”
“He looked pretty skinny and told the group he was coming to rehab to work on his issues and said he was having withdrawal symptoms and was tired and lethargic,” the insider went on. “He told staff he didn't want any special treatment during his stay, in terms of meals and therapy.”
Another pal told E! News, "It's true. Scott checked in last week. He had a lot of guidance from Kourtney and she demanded that he get help. Things have been bad the last couple of weeks and Kourtney won't allow him around the kids unless he gets treatment."
On a recent episode of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” Disick opened up about the deaths of parents. He said, “Losing my parents is not an easy subject for me to talk about. It puts me in a very vulnerable place, to remember them and think about them. I think when my parents passed, it was too hard to talk about. As much as I was dreading looking through some photos because I thought it was going to bring out sad memories, I'm happy that Dave [his father's best friend] brought them with him. The truth is, it brought up so many amazing memories and things that I forgot.”
“I think the more I talk about my parents, the more my kids will remember them, and feel connected to them,” Disick emphasized.
Just days before his rehab stint, Scott was seen enjoying some beach time with girlfriend Sofia Richie and their friends in Malibu.
This isn't the first time that Disick has gone to rehab. In 2014 and 2015, he was admitted to two different rehab facilities.
