Kathy Valentine of the Go-Go’s Talks New Memoir, Plus: Her Relationship With the Band
“Extra's” Senior Music Correspondent Adam Weissler spoke with Go-Go's guitarist Kathy Valentine via Zoom as she promoted her new book “All I Ever Wanted: A Rock 'n' Roll Memoir.”

The memoir focuses on Valentine's road to fame with the Go-Go's, the devastation after the collapse of the band, and her quest to regain her sense of self in the aftermath.
Over the years, the Go-Go's have gotten back together; they were scheduled to tour this summer. Kathy noted, though, that she “wouldn't be surprised” if it was canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
She added about her current relationship with the band's other members: “We've reached a level of healing and forgiveness. Everybody feels very close to each other.”
