‘The Bachelor’ Alum Ben Higgins Engaged to Jessica Clarke — See Her Ring!

“The Bachelor” alum Ben Higgins is engaged again!

On Friday, Higgins, 31, popped the question to girlfriend Jessica Clarke after a year of dating.

Clarke shared photos from the proposal, writing, “I don't remember everything you said, but I know that I said yes. I woke up in a dream today and I get to live in this dream every day from now on (eeeep).”

She also shared a close-up of her sparkling ring on Instagram.

Higgins opened up on the proposal to "The Bachelor" alum Ashley Iaconetti on their "Almost Famous" podcast, saying, "I just got down on one knee and I pulled out the ring. And she at that point still didn't know what was happening. Because her face was shocked… her mouth is wide open, she doesn't even say 'yes' when I ask her to marry me. She just shakes her head up and down.”

Ben revealed that both of their parents were able to witness the special moment. He said, "And we all celebrated together and we were able to enjoy this. It was quick but so special… it was the most beautiful setting."

As for their decision to wait until marriage to live together, Ben explained, "For a couple reasons we won't. One is, I think a lot of it is respect for my family and her family. It's also like I've talked about before, it's lessons learned from past relationships and also I think for Jessica and I, we have abstained and tried to do this the best we can to make our relationship as healthy as possible and there are steps we still want to take to do that. So that's why right now we will not be moving in together before we get married. But I think we'll be finding a house before then that we can both start to make our own.”

Just a month before Higgins got down on one knee, he gushed about Clarke on Instagram, “Always chasing the feelings of joy and happiness. They are easier to catch when@jessclarke_.”

A few months ago, Ben hinted at an engagement happening soon, telling "Extra's" Special Correspondent Rachel Lindsay, “I don't want to say when it could happen, but if you come to these live shows, it could possibly happen live onstage.”

A year ago, Ben made it Instagram official with Jessica. He wrote on Instagram, “I've been selfishly keeping this girl to myself for too long! Hey friends meet @jessclarke_! I successfully slid into her DM's a few months ago. I took a risk and I am glad I did. She is someone special, and I look forward to where life is going to take us."

Higgins, who appeared on Season 20 of “The Bachelor," added that the photo of the pair was taken in Honduras with Generous Coffee Co., which uses profits to support non-profits.

Jessica also unveiled her “secret boyfriend” on Instagram, writing, “My secret boyfriend, Ben! He has one of the biggest hearts and kindest spirits, I got to share Honduras with him this past week and I'm excited for many more adventures!”Eonline.com reported Clarke is a recent graduate from Ole Miss and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Integrated Marketing and Communications.
