How ‘RHONY’ Star Jill Zarin’s Daughter Ally Found Out She Was Conceived with a Sperm Donor

Jill Zarin's daughter Ally got the surprise of her life when she found out she was conceived with a sperm donor.
Page Six reports that during an episode of Heather McDonald's “Juicy Scoop” podcast, Jill, 56, and Ally, 27, opened up about the family secret.
The former "Real Housewives of New York" star explained that she and ex-husband Steve Shapiro planned to tell Ally after college, but she found out by reading her mom's emails while she was still at Vanderbilt University.
Ally said she had “no inkling,” revealing, “[My mom] said, 'We were never going to tell you like this and we didn't know when the right time was, but basically, your dad's your dad, but we had a difficult time having you and we used a sperm donor.'”
She added, “I never in a million years would have thought that.”
How did it make her feel? She said, “I don't think I was ever really mad. I was more just surprised.”
Ally isn't happy with the emails she found, saying it was a family member asking, “Why is Ally the fattest in the Shapiro family?” and “Why does Ally have blue eyes and no one else does?”She is interested in meeting her biological father someday, just not right away.
“I didn't have a say in when I was told and how I was told or who my siblings are now,” she explained. “I feel like I can choose now when I want to meet this guy and what our relationship is and boundaries… I think I want to meet him when the timing is right for both of us. I feel like now's not the right time.”
