Kanye West Makes Shock Announcement, Drops Music Video with His Dad
Kanye West has some big plans!
According to The Hollywood Reporter, during a surprise appearance at the Fast Company Innovation Festival in NYC, West told the crowd he wants to run for president in 2024.
"When I run for president in 2024," he said, before being interrupted by laughter.
West asked, "What y'all laughing at? We would create so many jobs! I'm not going to run, I'm going to walk. When you see headlines saying, 'Kanye's crazy' — one in three African Americans are in jail and all the celebrities are in jail also because they can't say nothing, they got no opinion. They're so scared!"
He also sounded-off on a Forbes report stating his net worth at $240 million, when he claims he's a billionaire.
West talked empowerment, saying, "Martin Luther King didn't get killed because he had a dream; he had something else he was going to talk about. He talked about black empowerment, economic empowerment.”

Kanye said he might even change his name to get his point across.
“When people say it's crass to call yourself a billionaire, I say I might legally change my name to Christian Genius Billionaire Kanye West for a year until y'all understand exactly what it is… It will be on the license plate."
In other news, West dropped the new music video “Follow God,” featuring him and his dad, Ray West, cruising through Cody, Wyoming, in an ATV.
In the song, he raps about God and his relationship with his father, with lyrics like, "I was screaming at my dad / and he told me it ain't Christ-like.”
At the end of the video, he explains, “It took me 42 years to realize my dad was my best friend.”
The star added that his dad asked him how many acres he had in Wyoming, and when he told him 4,000, Ray responded, “A black man?”
