Actress Mischa Barton is reportedly single!
A source tells E! News that Barton broke up with boyfriend James Abercrombie after two years of dating.
"Mischa and James are over," the insider said. "The reason she broke up with him is to focus on her career."
Barton recently joined “The Hills” reboot, and the source insisted, "This is the first time Mischa is actually having a second life in her career, and she wants to focus on it. That's the reason she broke up with him."
The insider said she's a “new Mischa” and “super happy about her future again.”
"She is all focused on the best she can be,” the source said. “She is really focused on her career. She is changing her life."
The news comes weeks after RadarOnline.com reported the couple was over. In late June, a source told the site that Mischa had split with James weeks earlier and was “taking time to be single.”
James is an Australian model and heir to an estimated $574-million family fortune. His father, Andrew Abercrombie, is the founder and chairman of the financial services company FlexiGroup and the former treasurer of the Victorian Liberal Party.
In June 2017, Bucknall Management/FRM Model Management confirmed the couple was dating.
FRM Model Management director Stephen Bucknall told The Daily Mail at the time, "James met Mischa at a party in Los Angeles... They then headed off on a small trip to France. He is now back in Los Angeles and they are spending a lot of time together."
