The Power of 25 Cents! ALDI Partners with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation to Fight Childhood Cancer

National grocery store ALDI is partnering with Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation to raise $1 million to help fight childhood cancer. From now until July 14, ALDI is asking shoppers to “Pay Your Quarter Forward” to Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation.

ALDI shoppers nationwide know there's a story behind the quarter — you insert a quarter to unlock a cart, and you get it back when you return the cart. This helps ALDI keep grocery prices low and ensure there are no stray carts in the parking lot.

In addition to saving shoppers money at ALDI, the quarter will help Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, a nonprofit organization. When ALDI shoppers pay their quarter forward for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, they're making a quarter worth far more than 25 cents.
