Adam Sandler Reveals He Took Same Plane as Jennifer Aniston the Day After Her Emergency Landing
Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler are reunited on-screen in the new Netflix movie “Murder Mystery.”
“Extra's” Tanika Ray caught up with the pair, who previously starred together in the 2011 flick “Just Go with It,” to talk about the film and their connection involving Jen's emergency plane landing!
In February, Aniston's friends surprised her with a 50th-birthday trip to Mexico. The group, which included Courteney Cox and Jimmy Kimmel's wife Molly McNearney, was forced to turn around and make an emergency landing after losing a tire.
Jen and Adam revealed to "Extra" that Sandler actually took the same private plane the next day!
Aniston told Tanika, “The plane landed and Adam took it to Hawaii the next day… Same plane… He literally texted me the next day and was like, 'Thanks for your broken plane.'”
Tanika asked, “Why did you feel confident about that?” and Adam said with a smile, “I know the Lord would not take away the Sandman.”
The stars were happy to be working together again in “Murder Mystery,” this time as a married couple framed in a billionaire's murder.
Adam said, “I like that we're married in it.” Jen added she enjoyed the experience "because it was fun. It was a fun throwback to the old whodunits, murder mystery — I loved those growing up.”
The two said one of the best parts of making the movie was filming in Italy, where they got to hang out with George Clooney in Lake Como. Jen said, “It's very rare when you go to a beautiful location and you actually have friends there. It was quite a treat.” Adam explained, “It was fun, a great night, a perfect night.”
Speaking of friends, Jen is still mulling over her decision to say a “Friends” reunion was possible.
She told Tanika, “I don't know… It's sort of like when I had a McDonald's cheeseburger after not having it for years and I was like, 'This is going to be so great…' and I was sick.”
Adam added, “Wanna hear something great about that story? I felt the same about a Quarter Pounder recently. I had it, and literally it was the best day of my life and I'd have another one right now.”
“Murder Mystery” premieres on Netflix Friday.
