Kit Harington Spotted in Public for the First Time Since Entering Treatment

Actor Kit Harington was spotted in Connecticut this week, looking casual and relaxed.

The star was photographed wearing a cap, T-shirt, and sneakers as he walked down a street in Essex.

The sighting marks the first time the 32-year-old star has been seen in public since news broke that he checked himself into an exclusive $120,000-per-month treatment center before the dramatic “Game of Thrones” finale. Patients at the facility are reportedly allowed to come and go at any time.

Earlier this week, “Extra” reached out to his team for comment, and his rep told us, “Kit has decided to utilize this break in his schedule as an opportunity to spend some time at a wellness retreat to work on some personal issues.”

Meanwhile, a friend told Page Six, “The end of 'GoT' really hit Kit hard… He realized 'this is it — this is the end,' it was something they had all worked so hard on for so many years. He had a moment of, 'What next?'”

The source added, “His wife Rose [Leslie] is being extremely supportive. Everyone close to him really wanted him to get some rest. Right now, he just needs peace and quiet.”

The role of Jon Snow has taken its toll on Harington. He once told Variety that one of the “darkest” points in his life was when Snow died, only to come back to life the next season.

“When you become the cliffhanger of a TV show, and a TV show probably at the height of its power, the focus on you is f***ing terrifying,” he said.

Kit explained, “That was a time when I started therapy and started talking to people. I had felt very unsafe, and I wasn't talking to anyone.”

He later told Esquire that he broke down the day he wrapped “GoT,” saying, “My final day of shooting, I felt fine… I felt fine… I felt fine… then I went to do my last shots and started hyperventilating a bit…Then they called 'wrap' and I just f***ing broke down. It was this onslaught of relief and grief about not being able to do this again.”
