First Glimpse! Chris Stapleton & Wife Morgane Welcome Baby #5
Country singer Chris Stapleton, 41, is a dad again!
On Sunday, Stapleton’s wife Morgane revealed that they had welcomed their fifth child. Along with posting a pic of their newborn holding her finger, she wrote, “The most perfect Mother’s day…I wish all you Mama’s the happiest of days today!”
It is unknown when Morgane gave birth or what they decided to name their little one. They have choosen not to reveal the names of some of their other children in the past.
Chris has not publicly commented on the birth. Last year, he stressed the importance of his family’s privacy, telling The Boot, “I signed up for this. My children did not. I am a very private person, and in that respect, I keep my children out of it. They’re children, and they deserve the chance to be children.”
Earlier this year, Morgane showed off her baby bump at at the Grammys, where they spoke to “Extra’s” Renee Bargh. When asked what effect his music has on her that she inspires the lyrics of her husband's songs, Morgane looked down at her baby bump, joking, “We stay pregnant.”

News broke that they were expecting in November, just seven months after the arrival of their twin sons Macon and Samuel.
According to a video obtained by The Blast, Stapleton told his fans from the stage, "Some of you may know that we have four children. Now there’s four for us, but we’re gonna make it five!”

In December, Stapleton showed major love to his family when he won Male Vocalist of the Year at the CMAs. During his acceptance, he said, “I’m real proud of this award. I want to thank my kids who put up with me being gone quite a bit and not always being as good of a dad as I would always like to be. I love you so much… you share me with all these people and I appreciate it.”
He emphasized, “I want to thank my wife for always being my rock and taking care of me and helping me find the right thing to be and the right thing to do.”
Aside from their twin boys, the couple, who wed in 2017, are the parents of one daughter and another son. They met more than 15 years ago while working as Nashville songwriters at Sea Gayle Music. Morgane opened up about the start of their love story, telling The Washington Post in 2015, “Eventually he asked me to write a song with him, and that ended up being our first date. We didn’t get much writing done that night.”
He joked at the time, “My wife has great taste in everything but men. The vast majority of the songs on my debut album, ‘Traveller,’ came from lists she made.”
