Regina King Celebrates Oscar Win at Vanity Fair Party
What do you do after you win an Oscar? Go to the Vanity Fair party!
“Extra's” Terri Seymour spoke with Regina King after winning Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her portrayal of Sharon Rivers in “If Beale Street Could Talk.” When Terri congratulated Regina, she commented, “It has been a journey — quite the campaign.”
King, a bit hoarse as she comes off an amazing awards season, pointed out, “You hear my voice from New York to L.A. and back and forth and Atlanta, D.C. to London to here, so to end up back home is fantastic.”
Beaming with pride as she held her Oscar, Regina said she is hoping people will continue to see the movie. She said, “I hope that it still has legs… that it continues beyond this ceremony. I feel like it's a film we need right now… It's a film we can all relate to. We all understand love. We all understand love has pulled us through moments that are tragic.”
The Oscar winner also shared a special with Jamie Foxx, who congratulated her.
