'Counting On' Stars Josiah Duggar & Wife Lauren Reveal They Suffered Miscarriage

Reality stars Josiah Duggar and wife Lauren are opening about a difficult loss on the new season of “Counting On.”

Lauren, who wed Josiah on June 30, 2018, suffered a miscarriage in October just a few weeks after she learned she was pregnant.

In a message to fans, she explained, “A couple months ago we found out we were expecting, but suddenly thereafter we lost our baby.”

Josiah added, “It was a hard time for our family going through this right after we got married and all our dreams of getting to see our little one and hold it in our hands were dashed before our eyes.”

Lauren continued, “We really wanted to share our story because we know a lot of people go through miscarriage but no one really talks about it so we just wanted to let you all know you are not alone.”

The video also includes a clip from next season. In the footage, a tearful Lauren shares, “I couldn't believe it and I was hoping it wasn't true. It was the worst day of my life.”
