Actor Jason Ritter is a dad for the first time!
Ritter and actress Melanie Lynskey welcomed a baby girl in December, Us Weekly reports.
Jason's friend and director Neema Barnette congratulated the couple on their bundle of joy last month, writing on Instagram, “Babies are a blessing & so is Jason! What a hands down brilliant talent & exceptional human being he is! I'm blessed to have shared creative energy with you. Thank you for giving me a seamless performance👌🏾.”

A fan recently spotted Jason and Melanie with their newborn. They tweeted, “I saw @JasonRitter and @melanielynskey at the airport and I smiled at her and I hope she took that as 'I love you, you've been in so many movies I adore and your baby is adorable.'”
The baby comes nearly two years after Jason and Melanie got engaged.
