Working Together? Awkwafina Takes on Tiffany Haddish Rumors

“Crazy Rich Asians” star Awkwafina is addressing the rumors she may be working with Tiffany Haddish in a female-driven reboot of “21 Jump Street.”
“Extra's” Tanika Ray spoke with Awkwafina at the SAG Awards, where she asked about the whispers. Awkwafina, who was on hand as a presenter, said, “Oh, wow, rumors spread, huh?"
Gushing about Tiffany, the 29-year-old shared, “I mean, look, there might be something — nothing is official yet. She is one of my favorites, I would love to work with her. She makes me laugh.”
Before the show, “Extra” caught up with Awkwafina at the Sundance Film Festival, where she commented on the rumors, saying, “It's out there, but we don't know really that much... I just roll with the punches.”
Awkwafina said she was honored to be at the SAG Awards, noting, “This is my first SAG, my first award season… There definitely is a community we're all a part of, and you definitely feel it tonight.”
