How Jason Aldean Came Up with His Baby Girl’s Name
Country singer Jason Aldean is taking the CMA stage tonight with Miranda Lambert, but at home he is getting ready to welcome his second baby with wife Brittany!
“Extra's” Alecia Davis chatted with Jason about the impending arrival at rehearsals for country music's biggest night. He said, “We got a little girl due after the first of the year. It's exciting, it's a little crazy in our house and it's about to get crazier… It's kinda exciting for me. I'm having to relearn a lot of things that I forgot with my older two, just changing diapers.”
Jason and Brittany recently announced that the new baby's name will be Navy Rome at their co-ed baby shower. He said of choosing names,“We had names that we kind of put in a pile."
Aldean said he wanted his kids to have cool names since Jason is so common, emphasizing, “The one thing I didn't want was for them to have a really common name.”
The couple are already parents to 11-month-old Memphis and Jason has two daughters from his previous marriage. When Alecia joked that the girls outnumber the boys, Jason commented, “But at least there's one boy in there. If tension gets too hot in the house, me and him go fishing.”
The 41-year-old thinks Memphis will do well with his new little sister, saying, “He's been the center of attention for the last year or so. Anytime he gets around other kids, he loves it. I think he's going to do great.”
Jason will sing “Drowns the Whiskey” with Miranda at the show, raving, “Any chance I get to perform with her, it's always great… We finally got a hit.”
