Celebs Evacuated from Autograph Show Over Bomb Threat, Gas Leak
Attendees and dozens of celebrities from the worlds of TV, movies, and music had to evacuate the Parsippany Hilton and the nearby Hampton Inn Parsippany in Parsippany, New Jersey, Saturday afternoon, due to a gas leak and an anonymous bomb threat. A nearby Ruth's Chris Steakhouse was also affected.
At 2:29 p.m. ET, the Parsippany Hilton ballroom and loading dock were ordered cleared over a confirmed gas leak. During this process, a hotel employee informed police that a bomb threat had been phoned in. At that time, the entire building was emptied, with everyone instructed to remain at least 100' away from the hotel. Police vehicles, what witnesses described as "bomb trucks," and ambulances responded to the chaotic scene.
People in the building reported that the call to evacuate was sounded suddenly, as many stars were in the middle of paid photo ops with fans.
The popular Chiller Theatre Expo is horror-themed, but welcomes a wide variety of celebrities. At this weekend's show, which kicked off Friday and was scheduled to last through Sunday, headliners include Robert Wagner & Jill St. John, Stefanie Powers, Loretta Swit, Barbara Eden, "L.A. Law," "Good Times," and "The Love Boat" cast reunions, T.K. Carter, Kim Fields, Pauly Shore and many more.

Coco Austin, who was on hand with husband Ice-T, paused in the parking lot for a defiantly pouty selfie with fellow attraction Carmen Electra, writing, "Me and @carmenelectra at the Chiller Theater signing. Actress Geri Reischl, affectionately known as "Fake Jan" for having replaced Eve Plumb as Jan Brady in several post-"Brady Bunch" projects, posted, "WE'RE HAVING TO EVACUATE CHILLER! B0mb threat!PRAY!!!" before later posting a smiling pic with fans outside to reassure fans that all was well. She also posted incredible video showing that every single room in the Parsippany Hilton was given a white-chalk "X" on the door once authorities had checked it for anything harmful. Watch:
Kim Fields of "The Facts of Life" fame posted a series of videos narrating the situation. Watch:

As of 6 p.m. ET, the gas leak had been repaired and the structures had been thoroughly checked for any suspicious devices — but none were found, according to TAP into Parsippany.
The scare comes the same day that an armed anti-Semite stormed a synagogue in Pittsburgh shouting, "All Jews must die!" before killing at least 10 people. Suspect Robert Bowers was apprehended by police. It comes one day after Cesar Sayoc was arrested on suspicion that he sent some 13 mail bombs to prominent liberal and media figures, including former presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, actor Robert De Niro and others.
