Bughead, Barchie… Jeronica? ‘Riverdale’ Cast Dishes on the Show’s Twisted Love Triangles

YouTube superstars Brooklyn and Bailey McKnight are playing matchmaker for the characters and stars of The CW teen thriller “Riverdale.”

The twins hit the red carpet at PaleyFest as “Extra's” special correspondents, where they went digging for dish on the show's twisted love triangles, and a possible off-screen romance too.

Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse play onscreen couple Betty and Jughead, known to fans as Bughead, but fans have long wondered if they are together IRL.

Brooklyn and Bailey asked Lili what her relationship is like with Cole outside of the show. She smiled coyly, before playing a bit of verbal dodge ball.

Lili answered, “We get along great. I think some of my favorite scenes are with Cole. We work really well together.”

She said Bughead is going strong, and she doesn't anticipate a Betty and Archie (aka Barchie) romantic reunion anytime soon, “Betty's quite happy with Jughead. I think their relationship is really strong. I think something really drastic would have to happen for her to develop her feelings for Archie again. Maybe someday, but I really don't know.

What about Jughead and Veronica? They shared a steamy kiss earlier this season, inspiring new shipping names like Jeronica and Vughead.

Camila Mendes, who portrays Veronica, doesn't see it happening, “Veronica and Jughead would have a lot of differences they'd have to sort through first.”

Cole agreed, but did leave the door open, saying, “I guess opposites could attract.”
