On Wednesday afternoon, actress Jaime King's son James Knight, 4, was struck by glass after a man allegedly jumped on the car in which he was sitting.
According to TMZ, King's female friend and James were in a car that was parked along a curb and King was outside the vehicle when a male, identified as Paul Francis Floyd, 47, attacked.
In a release, the Beverly Hills Police Department said, “[James] was secured in a child car seat positioned in the back seat of the vehicle as the suspect jumped on the rear windshield causing glass to shatter and strike the child.”
“In an effort to protect the child, the female driver exited the vehicle and confronted the suspect, at which time he threw a can at her, striking her arm,” the statement continued.
Minutes before the incident, the BHPD received numerous calls about cars being vandalized, including reports of a man “kicking and jumping on the vehicles.”
The BHPD noted that Floyd also allegedly attacked another vehicle, kicking the car and causing damage as the male driver was stopped near a driveway.
Floyd has been arrested for felony child endangerment, misdemeanor battery, and two counts of felony vandalism. He's being held on $100,000 bail and is set to appear in court Friday.
