Keith Urban Dishes on Nicole Kidman's 'BLL' Success and His New Music
Country star Keith Urban was back to work after supporting his wife Nicole Kidman at the SAG Awards, where she was honored for “Big Little Lies.”
“Extra's” Alecia Davis spoke with Keith as he played at Bobby Bones & the Raging Idiots' Million Dollar Show 3, which benefited St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Urban gave a health update on Nicole, who was suffering from the flu at Sunday's awards. He said, “It was a bit of a push through last night to make it. We all know that feeling — the show goes on.”
“It was a huge honor for her to go and receive that award," Keith added. "Obviously we want to be there."
Keith also gushed over his wife's success, saying, “A lot of gratitude, not just for last night, but for all of the things that are happening for 'Big Little Lies' — it's extraordinary.”
Urban also gave love to Nicole's producing partner, co-star and friend, Reese Witherspoon. He shared, “As a team, 'cause her and Reese and their production companies are the ones that made this all happen, if you want to see girl power in action, that entire series is all girl power, behind the scenes, everywhere. It makes it so much sweeter, the success."
Keith is about to embark on a big tour and revealed the key to performing every night on the road is, “Loving what I do.”
As for his decision to perform for the benefit concert, Keith said, “It was a no-brainer when Bobby asked us to come and play.”
Keith also dished on his newly released song “Parallel Line,” which was co-written by Ed Sheeran and Julia Michaels. Watch!
