Who Did Morgan Freeman Call Out at the SAG Awards?
Last night, Morgan Freeman was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the SAG Awards!
During his acceptance speech, Freeman paused to address a member of the audience, saying, “Hey… I'm talking to you. Yeah, hey.”
Before moving on with his speech, the 80-year-old added, “Okay, well you just stand out to me, that's all.” Watch!
Freeman told reporters backstage, “Yeah. That was Lily Tomlin. She's a wonder in herself and I've always loved her. I see her, I say hello.”
Tomlin was the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award at last year's ceremony.
Morgan ended his speech by bringing attention to the SAG statue itself, saying, “This is beyond an honor. This is a place in history. Oh, and one more thing, I wasn't going to do this. I'm going to tell you what's wrong with this statue: It works from the back, from the front it's gender-specific. Maybe I started something.”
