New Trend? Selena Gomez Hits the Red Carpet in Mismatched Shoes

Mismatched shoes could be the next big fashion trend! Selena Gomez is the latest star to rock the look.

Gomez hit the red carpet at the InStyle Awards at The Getty Center in L.A. on Monday wearing a little black dress from the Jacquemus Spring 2018 Ready-to-Wear line, but it was her geometric heels that had everyone talking.

One strappy tan shoe featured a yellow tennis ball-like heel, the other a small brown ball and chunky heel.

The “Wolves” singer, styled by Kate Young, accessorized the look with a black clutch and gold hoop earrings.

It turns out Selena wasn't the first to take the shoes for a spin on the red carpet. Emily Ratajkowski wore the same pair to the Vogue Party at Paris Fashion Week on Oct. 1.

Nicole Kidman made headlines last month when she wore seemingly mismatched shoes to the Emmys.

Her strappy pink Calvin Klein heels appeared to be two different shoes… one with a pink strap across her toes, the other adorned with crystals.

Upon closer inspection, however, it was clear that the gorgeous shoes were actually a pair, one with a plain ankle strap and one with crystals.

Naomie Harris was the first actress to try out the bold Calvin Klein heels — she wore a yellow pair to the Oscars earlier this year.
