Rapper Nelly Calls Rape Allegation 'False and Defaming'
UPDATE: The rape case against Nelly has been closed. The King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office tells TMZ that the star will not be charged.
TMZ reports rapper Nelly was accused of raping a woman on his tour bus Saturday morning, but the rapper isn't wasting any time in defending himself.
Law enforcement sources told TMZ the woman specified it was Nelly himself who raped her on the bus, which was parked in a Washington Walmart lot.
Nelly took to Twitter Saturday to vehemently defend himself, calling this a "false allegation" and proclaiming himself to be "completely innocent."
He went on to write, "I am confident once the facts are looked at , it will be very clear that I am the victim of a false allegation."
Nelly also thanks his fans for their "unwavering support" and pointed out he has not been charged with any crime; he was released by police "pending further investigation."
