Rachel Bilson Spotted After Hayden Christensen Split, Plus: What Went Wrong in Their Relationship?

Days after news of her split with Hayden Christensen, actress Rachel Bilson was spotted for the first time in Los Angeles.

On Wednesday, Bilson was seen with a shopping bag after dropping by Sweet William children's clothing store.

A close pal of Bilson revealed that she and Hayden called it quits “within the last few weeks.” Her friend elaborated to E! News, "It was a gradual buildup of issues and problems. They were in agreement it was time to move on as a couple. They have very different lifestyles and interests... She felt like she wanted something different and easier. She tried to make it work for years.”

Rachel recently opened up about life with their daughter Briar Rose, 2, telling LaPalme magazine, "I may have another child. That's still up in the air. I'm having so much fun with the one right now. I want to be happy and content. All the life B.S. that happens doesn't matter. You want to be happy, you want your kid to be happy and you want everyone in your life to be healthy and happy.”
