JAY-Z Speaks Out on Infamous Elevator Fight with Solange
Over three years ago, rapper JAY-Z and Solange made headlines after surveillance footage surfaced of their elevator fight at the Met Gala.
In the infamous video, Solange is seen kicking and pushing JAY-Z while wife Beyoncé stands in the middle of the chaos. JAY-Z is finally opening up on the incident for the first time. In an interview with Rap Radar, the 47-year-old said, "We had one disagreement ever. Before and after we've been cool.”
He elaborated about wife Beyoncé's younger sister, "She's like my sister. I will protect her. That's my sister, not my sister-in-law. My sister. Period.”

Despite their public fight, JAY-Z affirmed, "We've always had a great relationship. I fought my brothers and argued with my brothers my whole life. It just so happens, who we are, these things go into a different space. But it ain't nothing.”
In JAY-Z's latest album, "4:44,” he references the incident, saying, "You egged Solange on / Knowin' all along / All you had to say you was wrong.”
