Summer Phoenix Files for Divorce from Casey Affleck

After they announced their separation a year ago, Summer Phoenix and Casey Affleck are officially over!
Phoenix filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the breakup. In the court documents obtained by "Extra," she is requesting joint physical and legal custody of their sons, Indiana, 13, and Atticus, 9, and spousal support.
The couple secretly separated before the split went public in March 2016. At the time, his rep said, "Casey Affleck and Summer Phoenix have amicably separated. They remain very close friends.” In the papers, Summer, 37, had listed that they separated in November 2015, over nine years after they wed.
The two met through her brother Joaquin Phoenix and they began dating in 2000. Affleck, 40, told The Daily Beast in 2013, "She was going out with someone else and I said, 'Man, she's cute,' and [Joaquin] said, 'You should see if she'll go out with you… don't worry about that dude.' So he was leaving town one day and said, 'My sister's in my apartment and she's all by herself — would you mind checking in on her?' So I checked in on her, and it stuck.”
They made their first public appearance together in 2014. Since their split, Casey has been dating “Supergirl” actress Floriana Lima.
