9:15 PM: Kimmel ends the show, saying, "I knew I would screw this show up."
9:13 PM: "Moonlight" cast comes onstage to accept the award.
9:12 PM: Warren explains what happened, saying, he opened the wrong card.
9:12 PM: It's a mistake, and "Moonlight" wins!
9:08 PM: The Oscar for Best Picture goes to "La La Land."
9:04 PM: Warren Beatty speaks on diversity and politics before presenting the Oscar for Best Picture.
9:03 PM: Jimmy Kimmel expresses that he's excited to watch Matt Damon lose in the final category, Best Picture. Matt's film "Manchester by the Sea" is one of the nominees.
8:58 PM: Emma gives a shout-out to her family and her team. Emma also put attention on Ryan and thanked him for "making me laugh."
8:54 PM: Leonardo DiCaprio takes the stage to hand out the Oscar for Best Actress. Emma Stone takes home the award and makes sure to hug co-star Ryan Gosling as she heads to the stage.
8:47 PM: Last year's Best Actress, Brie Larson, is on hand to give out the coveted Best Actor award. The award went to Casey Affleck, who was beyond shocked by the win. He said, "It means so much to me" and gave a shout-out to fellow nominee Denzel Washington, who was tearing up.
8:43 PM: Chazelle showed some love for the fellow nominees, including Mel Gibson. He thanked Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone for "bringing it to life." He also gushed over girlfriend Olivia Hamilton, who he fell in love with during the shooting of the movie.
8:41 PM: Halle Berry stuns while taking the stage to give out the award for Best Directing. The Oscar goes to "La La Land" director Damien Chazelle, who just won his first Oscar.
8:36 PM: Jimmy has a surprise for the audience, releasing cookies and donuts from the ceiling.
8:33 PM: Amy Adams makes a flashy entrance as she presented the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay. And the award goes to "Moonlight."
8:29 PM: Matt Damon is snubbed while taking the stage with Ben Affleck. He is introduced as "guest" and given wrong lines on the teleprompter. While he is trying to speak, the music overpowers his voice. The two are handing out the award for Original Screenplay to "Manchester by the Sea." Director Kenneth Lonergan gives a shout-out to Matt as he accepts the award and said "it started with you."
8:27 PM: Jimmy Kimmel is poking fun at frenemy Matt Damon in a pre-taped skit. While sitting in a theater, Kimmel critiques Damon's work over the years.
8:22 PM: Sara Bareilles performs a touching rendition of Joni Mitchell's "Both Sides, Now" to remember stars, who have passed away.
8:19 PM: Jennifer Aniston sparkles onstage while honoring those who died this past year. While bringing up Bill Paxton's death, Aniston held back tears.
8:16 PM: Scarlett Johansson graces the stage to give out the award to Best Original Song. The Oscar goes to "La La Land," which won for "City of Stars."
8:13 PM: Samuel L. Jackson is presenting the award for Best Original Score, which goes to "La La Land." Justin Hurwitz comes on stage to accept the award and thanked "everyone who worked on the movie."
8:12 PM: Jimmy joked that it was "weird" to see Lin-Manuel Miranda without paying $10,000.
8:07 PM: John Legend performs a soulful rendition of the song with the help of a piano.
8:04 PM: "La La Land" stars Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone introduce John Legend, who will perform the movie's nominated song "City of Stars."
8:01 PM: Jimmy Kimmel brings attention to the trolls of the internet with a mean tweets edition of the Oscars. Some of the stars who read mean tweets about themselves, include Ryan Gosling, Natalie Portman, Tilda Swinton, and Emma Stone.
7:59 PM: Meryl Streep and Javier Bardem share the stage to present Best Cinematography to "La La Land."
7:52 PM: Leslie Mann and John Cho appear onstage to talk about the technical and scientific awards. Cho made reference to Trump with his mention of the press being banned.

7:30 PM: Felicity Jones and Riz Ahmed share the stage to give the Oscar to "The Jungle Book," which won Best Visual Effects.
7:16 PM: Some tourists are surprised when they are taken into the Dolby Theatre in the middle of the Oscars. Some of the tourists are able to chat to big name stars including Ryan Gosling, Jennifer Aniston, Halle Berry, and Meryl Streep.
7:13 PM: Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson take the stage to give the Oscar for Production Design. The award went to "La La Land."
7:11 PM: Gael and Hailee remain onstage to give the Oscar for Best Animated Film to "Zootopia."
7:10 PM: Gael mentions that he is against "all walls that attempt to separate us."
7:06 PM: Hailee Steinfeld and Gael García Bernal are on stage to give out Best Animated Short Film, which went to "Piper." It was the first win for Alan Barillaro and Marc Sondheimer.
7:00 PM: Dev Patel introduces Sting, who is performing "The Empty Chairs" from the movie, "Jim: The James Foley Story."
6:58 PM: The winner is "The Salesman," but the director Asghar Farhadi did not attend "in respect of his country." In his acceptance speech, he calls out Trump's immigration ban.
6:56 PM: Shirley MacLaine is honored by Charlize Theron. The two are onstage to honor the Best Foreign Film.
6:54: Jimmy joked that he would be a doctor if it wasn't for David Letterman.
6:53 PM: Jimmy praised Viola's acceptance and said she should get an Emmy for that.
6:44 PM: Viola Davis takes home the award for her work on "Fences." Getting emotional, Viola showed thanks for being able to "celebrate what it means to be a life." She also thanked her "captain" Denzel Washington, who flashed a big smile. She thanked people who taught her how to fail and "hold an award."

6:07 PM: Jimmy said "Hidden Figures" is about "real heroes" before introducing the three stars from the film, Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer, and Janelle Monáe. The three bring NASA hero Katherine Johnson to the stage. Johnson's story was told in "Hidden Figures."
5:57 PM: Kate and Jason also give out the award for Costume Design, which went to "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them."
5:56 PM: Jimmy calls out "fake news" before introducing Jason Bateman and Kate McKinnon, who is known for her "SNL" impression of Hillary Clinton. They gave out the award for Best Makeup and Hairstyling, which went to "Suicide Squad." The award was dedicated to "all the immigrants."
5:55 PM: Jimmy talks to Mahershala and asks him what he's going to name his newborn baby since he has such a unique name.
5:49 PM: Before going into his acceptance speech, Mahershala said, "my grandmother would want me to button up." He also gave a shout-out to his wife, who helped him "carry through this process."
5:47 PM: Alicia Vikander is giving out the award for Best Supporting Actor. And the winner goes to Mahershala Ali for "Moonlight."
5:44 PM: As for Trump, Kimmel quipped "The president will tweet about [this] during his bowel movements tomorrow morning.
5:41 PM: Jimmy comments on homeland security, discrimination, and Meryl Streep's "overrated performance." His Streep comment was reference to President Trump's recent tweet. He asked the crowd to give a standing ovation to the "overrated Meryl Streep."
5:39 PM: He joked that "white people saved jazz" and "black people saved NASA" in reference to "La La Land" and "Hidden Figures."
5:37 PM: Kimmel brings attention to Mel Gibson when he mentioned that one "Braveheart" couldn't unite the nation. He also joked about frenemy Matt Damon, saying he used to be the fat one.
5:35 PM: JT introduced host Jimmy Kimmel, who jokes about his reception at the show. He even poked fun at Justin and his NSYNC days.
