Earlier today, “Extra's” AJ Calloway caught up with the model, who revealed the first person she called when she found out the top-secret news, which was announced Tuesday night on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” She said, "The first person I called was Justin,” referring to her Detroit Tigers pitcher fiancé Justin Verlander.
The couple, who got engaged in May, still have no concrete wedding plans. Kate smiled, saying, "I'm doing a pretty bad job of that currently, but we are planning.” As for where and when, Kate admitted, “Location, I don't know, that's the problem, there are so many great options… Vegas, can we just sign a piece of paper?”
One location she knows well is Fiji, where she shot her three Sports Illustrated covers! “It's completely warm and beautiful,” she said. Upton also opened up on her workout regimen for the two-day shoot, saying, “I train all the time, but I'm more serious then, and less sugar… No sugar!"
Also happy to be a part of such a special issue that also features Ashley Graham and Christie Brinkley, the 24-year-old said, “It was incredible to be part of a magazine that is featuring all women and all women's body types.”
