Joey King’s Sister Hit by a Semi: ‘Keep Her in Your Thoughts'

On Wednesday, “Independence Day: Resurgence” actress Joey King revealed her sister Kelli's scary accident with an 18-wheel semi truck.
Joey wrote on Instagram, "For those that dont know. My sister Kelli was in a terrible accident where she was hit by an 18 wheeler semi truck while bicycling to work yesterday morning. She's in great hands and is on the road to recovery. I'm just unbelievably grateful that she's alive. Please keep her in your thoughts.”
After the accident, Kelli was well enough to post a pic from the hospital with visible bruises on her face. She wrote, "Thank you for all the well wishes everyone! I am so thankful to be alive and on the road to recovery.”

Their sister Hunter, who stars on “The Young and the Restless,” also posted on Instagram about Kelli's accident, writing, “My homie since day one.. Kelli I'm so thankful that you're okay. God was lookin out for you yesterday…Gotta hold the loved ones tight and be thankful for each day. Not even a semi truck can stop you.”

Kelli is an actress like her sisters, and has appeared on "Grey's Anatomy,” in the TV movie "A Boyfriend for Christmas,” and in the film “Ascension."
