Nancy Grace Opens Up on Leaving HLN Network
TV personality Nancy Grace is starting a new chapter in her life after announcing her exit from HLN Network. Yesterday, Extra's” Renee Bargh caught up with the former prosecutor at the Hallmark Channel's TCA in Los Angeles, where she talked about her decision to leave her self-titled show.
Of her announcement, Nancy said, “HLN, CNN, has been a wonderful home for me, I have been there for 12 years… I really wanted to spread my wings and do different projects and all of it related to fighting crime.”
Before Grace fights crime, she is turning her best-selling Hailey Dean mystery books into a Hallmark Channel movie this fall. She dished, “All the characters in the book and in the movie are about things that happened to me when I was prosecuting, about people I met, it's a mishmash of them.” She smiled, saying, “And I'm not gonna tell you how it ends.”
The 56-year-old also hinted she may be making a cameo in the movie, laughing, “I like to pick out people that are very good friends or mortal enemies and either kill them or make them villains in the book.”
Before she went on with her evening, Nancy shared her take on the recent headlines, including the presidential election, the Kimye and Taylor Swift feud, and the racial tensions arising from the shootings across the country. Watch!
