Heidi Montag on Her Plastic Surgery Obsession: ‘I Was In Way Over My Head'
Former “The Hills” star Heidi Montag is opening up on all her past plastic surgery mistakes.
Back in 2010, Montag went under the knife for 10 plastic-surgery procedures, all in one day. At the time, she shared, "For the past three years, I've thought about what to have done. I'm beyond obsessed.”
Nowadays, Heidi has a different perspective on her decision, saying, "I was in way over my head with the surgeries. I had no idea what I was getting into or that it was a lifelong commitment. It was very challenging, both physically, emotionally, spiritually, mentally, on my husband, and on our lives."
One of the surgeries that Montag regrets is her breast augmentation, which caused her pain. She eventually removed her sized F implants in 2013. She shared, "They were so heavy they were falling through the skin. It was just too heavy for my body and I was in pain and uncomfortable all the time. I thought, 'What do I need this big of breasts for?'”
A year after removing her implants, Heidi also sat down to discuss her extreme surgery binge with “Extra's” Renee Bargh. Watch!
Despite her mistakes, she is looking forward to the future. "I think it's important not to pigeonhole yourself in past mistakes but to learn from them and move on.”
Heidi and husband Spencer Pratt, who now live in Santa Barbara, will be reuniting with the rest of the “The Hills” cast for "The Hills: That Was Then, This Is Now,” airing on August 2.
