'Extra' Wins Daytime Emmy Award!
The 2016 Daytime Emmy Awards were handed out Sunday night in downtown L.A., and “Extra” won the Outstanding Entertainment News Program trophy!
We made TV history as the first show ever to win gold for Outstanding Entertainment News Program in 2014.
Senior Executive Producer Lisa Gregorisch-Dempsey said, "Who says the first time is the best? The second time feels just as good! We are beyond proud and honored to win and celebrate the amazing team that does an Emmy worthy show every day."

Some big winners included Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan for Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host, Dr. Oz for Outstanding Informative Talk Show Host and the co-hosts of “The Talk” for Outstanding Talk Show/Entertainment.
“General Hospital” was the leader of the pack among the soap operas this year, taking home Outstanding Drama Series, as well as the Outstanding Lead Actor trophy for Tyler Christopher. Meanwhile, Mary Beth Evans won Outstanding Lead Actress for her work on “Days of Our Lives.”
