Donald Trump & Megyn Kelly's Feud Just Got Even Worse
Donald Trump's war of words with FOX News anchor Megyn Kelly is showing no signs of slowing down, even after they seemed to get along fine at the last GOP debate.
On Thursday, the Republican presidential contender tweeted that Kelly is "highly overrated & crazy," leading to a strong defense from FOX News.
Calling Kelly an "exemplary journalist and one of the leading anchors in America" and terming Trump's insults an "endless barrage of crude and sexist verbal assaults," a spokesman for FOX released a statement saying, "Donald Trump's vitriolic attacks against Megyn Kelly and his extreme, sick obsession with her is beneath the dignity of a presidential candidate who wants to occupy the highest office in the land."
Never one to back down, Trump responded late Friday night in a statement:
"Mr. Trump will continue to defend himself against the inordinate amount of unfair and inaccurate coverage he receives on her second-rate show each night."
FOX canceled its most recent proposed debate after Trump, who is now considered the front-runner for the Republican nomination, abruptly pulled out of appearing.
