Is Gwen Stefani Singing About Blake Shelton in ‘Make Me Like You'? Listen!
Singer Gwen Stefani just released her new song “Make Me Like You,” leading many to speculate it's about her new boyfriend Blake Shelton.
In the pop song, Stefani sings, "I was fine before I met you / I was broken but fine / I was lost and uncertain / But my heart was still mine / I was free before I met you / I was broken but free / All alone in the clear view / But now you are all I see.”
More lyrics point to Gwen's love for Blake, including, "Hey, wait a minute / You're running back to me / I really like you, but I'm so scared / Why'd you have to go and make me like you? / Yeah, this is a feeling I'm not used to / Why'd you have to go and make me like you? / I'm so mad at you 'cause now you got me missing you.”
After the release of the song, Blake tweeted, "You can probably understand the multiple reasons why I just bought this… I hope you do to!!! @gwenstefani."
“Make Me Like You” is the second single off her upcoming album “This Is What the Truth Feels Like.” The first single was “Used to Love You,” which is rumored to be about her ex, Gavin Rossdale.
The music video for “Make Me Like You” will be shot and broadcast live during a commercial break on Monday night's Grammy Awards.
