How Blake Shelton Wants to Keep Gwen Stefani on ‘The Voice’ Next Season
Last night, “The Voice” was cut down to the top four contestants, and “Extra's” Renee Bargh got a chance to sit down with all of the coaches.
Season 9 is coming to an end next week, but Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani's romance is just heating up. Unfortunately, Gwen is taking next season off, so Blake is going to miss his girlfriend. He said, “I don't [want] Gwen to not be on the show — why can't we have a fifth coach?”
Gwen played coy when asked who she will miss the most, “I wonder…” but admitted she is “devastated” that she only has three more outfits to pick out for the show. “It's the combination, it's the chemistry.”
Stefani's fellow coaches also raved about working with her, with Adam Levine saying, “I think Gwen has been a stand-out moment. Somehow, when Gwen walks in the room, we all look like we've been wearing the same outfit for 10 years.”
After “The Voice,” Gwen has big plans for New Year's Eve — she's performing her single "Used to Love You" on "NBC's New Year's Eve with Carson Daly!" She told Renee, “I cannot wait for that. I have not performed on New Year's Eve in a long time. It's gonna be awesome.”
Carson said in a press release, “I couldn't be more thrilled to ring in the new year with NBC, our incredible viewers, and the extraordinarily talented Gwen Stefani. It's always such a special time of year, and what's better than being able to celebrate with great friends? Looking forward to a fun night!”
Next year, Stefani will also be putting out her album and plans to “do some shows.”
