Jennifer Lopez Would Rather Binge-Watch Her Favorite Shows Than Go Out on a Date Night
Jennifer Lopez recently took time out from her busy schedule to chat with "Extra's" AJ Calloway on the set of her upcoming NBC show "Shades of Blue."
Lopez sported a fake bloody cut on her face during the interview, explaining, "This is a scene where we actually, I had a little fender bender, I'm in full character right now, in-between scenes."
J.Lo and Casper Smart are reportedly on-again. The two were recently spotted on a date night at the "Rock the Kasbah" premiere in NYC. Despite that, she admitted, "I don't have time for a lot of date nights." Instead, she prefers quiet nights at home, saying, "Lot of being at home, lot of watching TV, lot of 'Game of Thrones,' lot of 'Homeland' late at night as I fall asleep, as I get up for my early call the next day."
Lopez continued, "[Emme] is super focused and super sensitive, quiet and kind of focused, and he's kind of off the charts, lots of energy, super funny. They both ask to take piano lessons and voice lessons, and they do gymnastics and Taekwondo."
In "Shades of Blue," J.Lo is also starring as a mom, one who is not afraid to bend the rules as a cop. "The show's really about human nature. If anything, I think the overarching theme is just how people get themselves in very slippery situations and how good people make really questionable choices sometimes."
On her character Harlee Santos, she shared, "Everything that she does, first, is for her daughter… She's complicated, and I think there are going to be moments where [you] hate her, and moments where you love her."
Jen is showing no signs of stopping. She just wrapped up the final season of "American Idol," and is now prepping for her new Las Vegas residency at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in January. She said, "This is a real chance for me to create the show I always wanted to create… That's like a high for me. I've never been one to do that type of stuff — you know, I don't drink or do drugs, I've never been that party girl — but that's my high."
