How Jim Carrey Is Coping After Ex-Girlfriend's Suicide
Jim Carrey is reportedly heartbroken in the wake of his ex-girlfriend Cathriona White's apparent suicide.
A source told People, "Jim is doing everything he can to help" her family, who just flew in from Ireland. "He is devastated, but can't imagine how her family must feel."
The insider added that he arranged for a driver to pick up White's family from LAX, has given them access to his car while they are in town, and is helping out financially as well.
It is believed that White's mother, stepmother, and sister are in L.A. to bring her body back to Ireland.
Carrey was spotted meeting with White's sister Lisa this week at his ex's Sherman Oaks home.
Daily Mail says that Carrey kept his head bowed as he entered the residence, and stayed for about an hour and a half. He was seen leaving with a stack of boxes.
Aside from Carrey, three others stopped by the three-bedroom house yesterday to pick up White's black Lexus RX350. They removed the license plate before a male drove off in the vehicle.
White was found dead of an apparent suicide on Monday, and the coroner has confirmed that pills and a note were discovered near her body.
Carrey and White had been dating on and off since 2012, and had rekindled their romance in May.
The pair were last seen together at Nobu in Malibu. They were said to be celebrating her birthday belatedly.
The comedian and Irish beauty looked very much in love, cuddling and kissing at the oceanside restaurant.
