Kanye Vows to Run for President in 2020, Bieber Cries
Yeezy for POTUS in 2020?
If Kanye West can be taken seriously (and when has he ever kidded around?), that slogan may become a reality. In a rambling speech from the stage of the MTV VMAs, ostensibly to accept his Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, Kanye lambasted awards shows, MTV, and the values that people are teaching their children before ending with a triumphant announcement of his candidacy.
Hillary and The Donald can breathe a sigh of relief that he didn't decide to jump into the 2016 race.
Cheered on by the audience ("Listen to the kids!" Kanye kept demanding of the powers that be), West seemed unwilling to exit the stage, providing for performer Pharrell Williams a very hard act to follow.
