Ben and Jen Divorce: Don't Blame J.Lo
Following the announcement that their marriage was coming to an end -- news that dropped a day after their tenth wedding anniversary -- Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have taken their family the Bahamas. According to the New York Post, the two were seen at an exclusive Bahamas resort, where Jennifer was said to be in "great spirits."
The Post also swats down rumors that their upcoming divorce has anything to do with Ben's reunion with his old flame Jennifer Lopez at this year's Oscars. A source tells the Post:
"There is no closeness between Ben and Jennifer Lopez. They bumped into each other at an Oscars event earlier this year and said hello, but that was it... this is just a rumor that some people want to be true."
This is not a case of "The New Adventures of Old Jennifer."
People magazine is reporting that Jennifer is "leaning on friends" during this difficult time. The magazine's unnamed source says:
"[Jennifer] has a close circle of pals who she trusts and are really protective of her. Her girlfriends have been really supportive. They just want her to be happy."
