Kanye Strikes Again, Storms Grammys Stage Then Goes on Epic Rant
When Kanye West stormed the stage during Beck's Grammy acceptance speech for Album of the Year, everyone thought it was a joke. It wasn't.
The rapper truly believed that Beyoncé's self-titled album should have beaten Beck's “Morning Phase.”

Kanye made his feelings known on the E! after show, explaining, "I just know that the Grammys, if they want real artists to keep coming back, they need to stop playing with us. We ain't gonna play with them no more, and Beck needs to respect artistry, and he should've given his award to Beyoncé.”

He continued, "Because when you keep on diminishing art and not respecting the craft and smacking people in their face after they deliver monumental feats of music, you're disrespectful to inspiration. And we as musicians have to inspire people who go to work every day, and they listen to that Beyoncé album and they feel like it takes them to another place."
West's wife Kim Kardashian also poked a little fun at Beck, posting this photo on Instagram with the caption, “This is the Beck won that award face?!?!?!”

Beck took the comments in stride and instead praised Kanye and Beyoncé. At a Grammys after-party, Beck told UsWeekly.com that he "was just so excited" when Kanye crashed the stage. The rocker said, "He deserves to be on stage as much as anybody. How many great records has he put out in the last five years right?"
The humble musician added, "I thought she was going to win. Come on, she's Beyoncé!... You can't please everybody, man. I still love [Kanye] and think he's genius. I aspire to do what he does."
