New Details! Amal's Dad Put Baby Pressure on George in Wedding Toast
Even George Clooney can't escape anxious in-laws campaigning for grandkids!
Us Weekly reports that Amal Alamuddin's dad, Ramzi, put pressure on the newlyweds at their wedding reception on Saturday, telling them in a toast, "Now it's time for grandchildren!"
The couple tied the knot in a lavish ceremony at Venice's Aman Canal Grande Hotel in Italy, under an arch of white roses in front of about 60 guests, they exchanged vows they wrote themselves.
At the reception, the couple and famous friends like Bill Murray, Matt Damon, John Krasinski, Emily Blunt, Anna Wintour and Bono dined on a five-course meal of lobster, risotto, sea bass and beef, as well as prosciutto and fig canapés… as a small string orchestra performed.
The festivities continued with a jazz trio and pianist, while loved ones toasted the couple and letters of congratulations were read from friends who couldn't attend, including Sandra Bullock.
The room was decorated in white roses, candles and modern art, while tables were set with 24-karat gold-rimmed bone china.
After the reception, George and Amal headed back to the hotel's Alcova Tiepolo suite, while some guests continued partying until 5 AM!
On Monday, Clooney and Alamuddin said "I do" again in a civil ceremony.
