Harrison Ford Broke a Leg, Not His Ankle, on Set of New ‘Star Wars’ Movie
Actor Harrison Ford's injury on the set of “Star Wars: Episode VII” was a little more serious than previously reported.
Ford's publicist confirmed to the Telegraph that the 71-year-old broke his left leg when he was crushed by a revolving door at Pinewood Studios on June 12.
When the news first surfaced, it was widely reported he had broken his ankle.
The rep said Ford is now on the mend. "His surgery was successful and he will begin rehab shortly. He's doing well and looks forward to returning to work."
Ford, who is reprising his role as Han Solo in the highly anticipated sequel, was airlifted to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford after the accident.
Along with Ford, the film stars original “Star Wars” castmates Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher. New cast members include Lupita Nyong'o, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow.
