Baby News Alert! Chelsea Clinton Is Pregnant

Former first daughter Chelsea Clinton and husband Marc Mezvinsky are expecting their first child!
 
Clinton made the announcement on Thursday at an event with her mother, Hillary Clinton, for the Clinton Foundation's “No Ceilings: The Full Participation” project.

NBC News reports Chelsea told the audience, "I have one more thing to say very quickly. I just want to thank all of you for being such an inspiration to us and to me in particular. Marc and I are very excited that we have our first child arriving later this year."

She added, "And I certainly feel all the better, whether it’s a girl or a boy, that she or he will grow up in a world with so many strong, young female leaders.”
 
"Extra" caught up with former president Bill Clinton outside the AMC Loews Village Theater in NYC at the Tribeca Film Festival to get his thoughts on daughter Chelsea's pregnancy news and he is "ecstatic."

“Extra’s” Maria Menounos recently spoke with Chelsea and asked her about the pressure to start a family, especially from mom Hillary.
 
Chelsea told Maria, “I do feel that pressure in such a loving, lovely way. My parents always say to me that having me was the best thing that ever happened to them, so why would I not want that experience?”

Now Chelsea's parents are overjoyed with the news. Both Hillary and Bill tweeted their excitement!
