Oprah Dishes on Her 60th Birthday!
“Extra’s” Terri Seymour caught up with Oprah as she was honored at the 2014 Santa Barbara International Film Festival with the Montecito Award.
Oprah, who just marked her 60th birthday last week, dished to Terri about how she celebrated after deciding not to throw a huge bash.
She explained, “I had the best time with myself… I am probably the happiest girl you’ve ever seen, happiest woman, I’m officially a woman at 60.”
Oprah admitted that BFF Gayle King did miss having an over-the-top party. “This is the weekend I’m supposed to be having my big [party] with 456 people, and so Gayle was [saying], ‘Oh we would be getting ready, and people would be…’ and I said, ‘I’m the happiest person ever not to be having a party.’”
Of the festival, Oprah was also happy to be honored for her work in “The Butler” in a place she calls home. “To be able to receive an award from people who are your community means a lot, that’s what we all work for.”
