Celebrity Feud: Shia LaBeouf vs. Lena Dunham
Shia LaBeouf and Lena Dunham began feuding in the Twitter space Saturday after Dunham criticized Shia for apologizing for plagiarism via skywriter.
When the world caught word that LaBeouf lifted almost every word from Daniel Clowes' graphic novel "Justin M. Damiano" for his new short "HowardCantour.com," he quickly apologized on Twitter. The tweet read, "Mr. Clowes, I can only ask that you view my apology as a stepping stone toward repairing this misunderstanding between us. I'm sorry."
On Wednesday, Shia took his apology a step further, writing, "I'm sorry Daniel Clowes" in the sky via skywriter.
The "Girls" star commented on this gesture Saturday, tweeting, "I've always felt, utterly and unchangeably, that only sociopaths hire skywriters."
LaBeouf replied, "I don't mind creating debate with thoroughly considered artistic expressions but I don't want to offend with a tweet. Sorry world."
Dunham then responded with, "Vaguely recognized Shia LaBeouf's latest twitter apology and realized it was MINE! Touché, Louis Stevens."
The former "Even Stevens" star sent his final tweet for a while Sunday morning, writing, "Gonna hop off Twitter for awhile. Enjoy the sunshine, breathe the air. Hope no one was offended."
