Eva Longoria Earns a Master’s Degree!
The beautiful Eva Longoria can now add Master's graduate to her long list of accomplishments!
After a whirlwind overseas trip to the Cannes Film Festival, Longoria returned to the states just in time to receive a Master's degree in Chicano Studies from California State University Northridge.
Trading in fancy gowns for a cap and gown, Longoria tweeted on Wednesday, “Big day today!!! Very excited to graduate for my Master's degree in Chicano Studies! You're never too old or too busy to continue your education!”
According to TMZ, “this was no honorary degree,” and Longoria studied for three years, taking classes in person.
A rep for Longoria pointed out, “Eva began the program while she was still working on “Desperate Housewives” and found time to complete her schoolwork on set.”
Longoria received praise from her former “Housewives” neighbors, including Marcia Cross, who tweeted, “Huge congratulations on your graduation today!!!! From Cannes to Cap and Gown. You are really something.”
Eva's thesis was titled “Success STEMS from Diversity: The Value of Latinas in STEM Careers” – STEM is an acronym for science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
After the ceremony, Longoria celebrated like any other college grad… by going out to dinner with her parents.
