Martha Stewart on Being 70: ‘We Have a New Generation’
Lifestyle mogul Martha Stewart graces the cover of NEW YOU magazine's Spring issue, on newsstands now, talking about life achievements and regrets, aging successfully, and how to gracefully survive the curveballs life throws your way.
On “a new generation” in aging, Stewart said, “Seventy is nothing like the 70 or 20 of 40 years ago. We have a new generation. I don't have a name for the generation, but I would say that 70 is the new 50! Not everyone wants to retire, and very few people want to slow down.”
Stewart's life regrets? “Just that I haven't had more children. But my daughter has two babies now, so the family is growing.”
As for surviving life's curveballs, Martha laughed, “I've had my share of curveballs and I'm getting pretty mad. I've had enough. There are many things I want to do without the distraction of curveballs. Maybe I'm going to give up baseball!”
